Tony Brooks & John Walton PB or HB 132pp

An illustrated account of Underground and surface operations 1897-2001. The training of mining engineers was an important educational activity in Cornwall from the end of the 19th century. In 1897 the Cambourne school of mines took over the South Condurrow mine for practical surface and underground training including mining surveying and mineral dressing. New surface plant was installed which reflected the best tin dressing practice of the day and the operation became known as the King Edward Mine. Mining and other operations were recorded over the years by a number of distinguished photographers and their work forms the backbone of this book. Available in soft and hardback. PB
