[USED] The Wheal of Hope, South Crofty and Cornish Tin Mining
Description
James Crowden and George Wright PB 96pp
There are thirty five superb black and white photos taken by Wright including surface, underground and people each accompanied by a poem written by Crowden, this is supplemented 24 pages of notes about the mine and working conditions. I am not enthused by poems normally however these capture the very moods, hopes and enthusiasm of the miners and their environment during the last months of the mine. In a different way the book provides an insight into the life of the Mine
