There are thirty five superb black and white photos taken by Wright including surface, underground and people each accompanied by a poem written by Crowden, this is supplemented 24 pages of notes about the mine and working conditions. I am not enthused by poems normally however these capture the very moods, hopes and enthusiasm of the miners and their environment during the last months of the mine.
