This facsimile of a 1922 memoir on the mineral localities and metalliferous mines in Ireland comes at a time when a great upsurge of interest in local heritage means it will assist many people with their own projects. Despite a substantial output of new maps and publications from the Geological Survey of Ireland, this Memoir is still one of the most requested items by members of the general public. Although reprinted in the 1950s it has remained out of print for many years and it is often difficult for people to access. The reprint has come about through collaboration of several parties, all of whom saw the need to make it available again.
