This report presents the results of excavations at Upwich in Droitwich carried out in the late 1980s by the Hereford and Worcester Country Archaeological Service. Upwich was historically the centre of salt production in the town as it contained a prolific source of brine from natural springs. The excavations confirmed the importance of the are during the medieval and post-medieval periods.
